Financial & Insurance

It is our mission to provide you with affordable, high-quality treatment that fits your budget! We offer a variety of payment options to meet your needs. Our office accepts payments by cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard and Discover. If you have any questions about financing or payment, ask us! We will thoroughly explain your choices and work hard to accommodate your needs.

Insurance

If your insurance covers orthodontic treatment, you will receive the benefit of reduced personal costs. Many insurance policies have a lifetime orthodontic benefit that is distinct from regular dental insurance. Insurance policies vary, so it is always a good idea for you to be familiar with your policy’s orthodontic benefits and restrictions prior to starting treatment. Not all dental policies include orthodontic benefits. Benefits may vary considerably from one plan to the next. Most policies cover a percentage of treatment fees up to a lifetime maximum amount (for example, 50% to a maximum of $1,000). Some plans exclude certain types of services, while other plans cover a more complete range of services.  Once treatment has started, we will file your claims.  As a courtesy to you, our office will submit insurance claims following an appointment. The State of Colorado requires timely payment of insurance claims. Your insurer must pay or deny claims within 45 days of being submitted. It is to your advantage to understand the EOB (Explanation of Benefits) from your insurance carrier. If you are unsure how to interpret the EOB, contact your insurance company and ask to speak with a claims representative.

If you receive a denial of benefits that you believe to be incorrect, please call your insurance company right away. Insurance companies often impose a time limit for claims appeals.

Many of our patients enjoy the benefits of a Flexible Spending or “Flex” plan. Such plans offer them the opportunity to receive insurance coverage with pre-tax money, so long as they submit an estimate of future treatment fees by a specific notification deadline. Our office seeks to provide our patients with the necessary fee estimates. Please allow us to evaluate and make the necessary estimates well in advance of your deadline.

To help us with your insurance filing, please complete the insurance questions on our questionnaire.

Please remember that orthodontic insurance is a benefit for you or your child. If, during the course of treatment, your benefits change, the financially responsible party is accountable for all charges.

We participate in the following insurance plans:

  • United Concordia - in network
  • Dentemax - in network
  • Dental Guard - in network
  • Cigna - PPO
  • Delta Dental - Premier and PPO

We will bill any insurance company and apply your benefits to your financial account.
